Shaking it Up for Spring!
For our first product shoot of 2018, we decided to shake things up by embarking on our first ever collaborative photoshoot!
We partnered with two of our favorite South End businesses, each within blocks of Ash & Rose's SoWa shop, to showcase the best eco-conscious spots in the neighborhood. We worked with photographer Rose Bennett and stylist Brittany Belgrave-Sealy to show off our new arrivals in one of the prettiest artist studios in town!
For hair styling we partnered with ELSEWHERE, an eco-friendly salon. ELSEWHERE uses all plant and fruit based hair products on their clients, but it doesn't stop there. They go a step further by recycling virtually all waste materials that pass through the salon, from the hair swept off the floor to the foil used in color treatments. ELSEWHERE's Brian Nunez styled these two glamorous and voluminous looks for our models - if you love the look be sure to book an appointment!
For makeup we partnered with Follain, the best of clean beauty, thoughtfully curated. Follain is taking a stand against toxins in personal care, refusing to settle for anything but the safest, most effective products. Makeup artist Amber Voner created these two fresh spring looks from Follain's organic cosmetics collection. Book a clean beauty consultation with Follain to freshen up your look too!
We were thrilled to get to work in the gorgeous sunlit studio of Mae Chevrette, located at 450 Harrison Ave, home of the SoWa Artists Guild. Not only is her artwork beautiful, but the studio itself is full of funky decor and pretty plants that were the perfect backdrop for our shoot. You can drop-in to Mae's studio yourself every First Friday and by appointment.
Special thanks to our assistants Emmajane Kanter and Bianca Antonini!
